How does it work? 

1. Apply to pitch

Eligible startups can apply through this online form, and the TTC team will review applications on a rolling basis. Only high quality applications that passed the initial screening will be sent to our panel of expert judges
(all travel industry veterans!) for selection.

2. Pitch live at TTC18 Startup Day (June 7, 2018)

On the TTC18 Startup day, the top 15 startups will get to present on stage in front of our panel of judges, influential media, and hundreds of attendees. Each startup will have 3 minutes to pitch, follow by 5 minutes of Q&A. 

3. Judging process

At the TTC pitch competition, there is no 1st place and runner ups. Each judge will pick the startup that is most worthy of their prize, be it a business partnership or an accelerator membership! Judges and prizes will be announced very shortly, sign up for our newsletter to stay updated.

4. Winner announcement during the main conference  (June 9, 2018)

Winners will be announced on the main conference day (June 9, 2018) of TTC18, and each judge will award their prize to the company they pick. Every winner will get to do a 1 minute elevator pitch on the main stage. 

Timeline and key dates: 

  • Application is opened on Nov 1st, 2017

  • Application is closed on Apr 15th, 2018

  • Finalists will be notified on a rolling basis in April, 2018

  • Pitch practise nights in May to get coaching from serial entrepreneurs, investors, and past winner

  • Live pitch competition during TTC Startup Day on June 7, 2018  

 

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Incorporated startup company of 3 years or younger. We welcome international startups too!

  • Received USD$2 million or less in funding

  • Your company operates in the travel industry

  • Technology is a core part of your business, it can be software or hardware or both!

  • You have a working prototype or product

  • You can demonstrate some form of traction (Users, Pilots, Customers, Revenue)
